Stephen Ministry

The Stephen Ministry is one-to-one lay care giving to those people in our congregation and in our community who are hurting, grieving, or suffering in some manner. This lay ministry is carried out in an organized and completely confidential manner. The ministry is done with pastoral support. Some types of activities will be as follows: ministering to the aged, to those who are ill, to those who are suffering divorce, to those who are suffering illness, and so forth. Our goal is to bring the loving compassion of Jesus to people suffering these and other hurtful or stressful situations. The heart of Stephen Ministry is to help God’s people become equipped for spiritual growth and Christ-centered, practical ministry by walking along side a hurting person showing empathy and love.
