Kids Believing in GOD
At Cedar Bayou Grace we have a strong commitment to our children. We want to see them grow spiritually, to learn all they can about God’s word, His love for them, and being His hands and feet. Our philosophy is that children will learn to know God by studying, worshipping, and fellowshipping in age appropriate programs that are available here at Cedar Bayou Grace for children of all ages. We provide Sunday School, special Sunday morning events, music opportunities, weekday programs, and fantastic summer adventures for 3 years through 5th grade. Nursery and childcare are available during the morning worship services, evening Bible studies, and many of the church sponsored events.
Christian Growth
Sunday School
From 9:30am – 10:45am birth through 5th grade meet in age divided classrooms and learn about the Bible. Currently kids are learning to live their Belief In God. Live B.I.G. is designed to help children learn about the love of God through Jesus so they can live their “Belief in God.” Using a DVD component, teachers are supplied with resources that go beyond the classroom and engage children with Christian role models and a deeper understanding of Jesus and the impact he can have on their lives.
Vacation Bible School
Each year children ages 3years through completed 5th grade spend a week during the summer learning about God’s love for them. Through assembly time, storytelling, music, crafts, recreation and more, the children experience an extraordinary adventure filled with fun, excitement and Bible-based activities. Our newest adventure will give the children a chance to travel into space. Join us June 14 – 18, 2010 from 9:00am to 12:00pm for Galactic Blast.

Summer Serve
Summer Serve is an opportunity for kids who have completed first through fifth grade to give back to the community. We spend the week learning about the importance of serving and putting it into action. This year Summer Serve is “Going Green”. Join us August 2-6, 2010 from 9:00am to 12:00pm and help make an impact on our earth.
Bayou Bunch
Bayou Bunch is a weekly activity during the summer for those children who have completed 1st – 5th grades. Many of the activities occur on and off the campus of Cedar Bayou Grace United Methodist Church. Children will meet each week in the Activity Center. Parents are always needed to drive or escort us on our adventures and don’t forget to bring a friend.
Bayou Bits
Bayou Bits meets every other week during the summer for those children who are 3 years through completed Kindergarten. Make sure you read your coupon book and newsletter for next summer’s events. Parents are welcome to join with us
Mission Maniacs
Children at Cedar Bayou Grace begin learning at an early age to give to those who are in our church, community, and around the world. The 1st – 5th grade meet once a month to participate in several missions opportunities throughout the year that include:
Operation Christmas Child
The children gather and package items for the Samaritan’s Purse shoebox ministry that touches millions of children throughout the world.
Collecting our Pennies
The children collect change (pennies) for the Pregnancy Resource Center and Christmas Penny Drive. The Christmas collection allows us to help other children have a bright Christmas. The kids collect the money, purchase, wrap and deliver the gifts.
Other Missions
Visit the elderly, calling bingo at nursing homes, get well cards, writing to the military and much more!
